October 31, 2007: There's only one thing to say today - HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
October 11, 2007: The fanlisting part of the site has been launched! For anyone who doesn't know what a fanlisting is - it's a site you add your name to, to show you're a fan, which in turn lets everyone know how many fans are out there. So let us know how many Halloween fans there are by joining! It's completely free and it takes just a minute or two to submit your info to get listed. When we do the next update, you will get an email to let you know that you've been added.
October 6, 2007: Halloween month has arrived! 25 days and counting til trick-or-treat day! Added two more fan comments and got notice at The Fanlistings Network that they'll list us as the Halloween movie fanlisting. Once we've got that up, you can add your name to the list to show that you're a Halloween fan and we'll be able to know just how many of you are out there!
September 22, 2007: These figures are about a week behind, but Halloween has past the $50 million mark! It currently stands at $53,085,000!
September 17, 2007: Added seven more fan comments and made one correction. Sorry about that, J!
September 12, 2007: We added a few more images to the gallery last night, and we're hoping to get some more of those soon. Hope you enjoy them! If you've got some we don't have, please send them in!

September 5, 2007: Two fan comments have come in, so we've put them on the site! We've also applied for the movie fanlisting and if we can get it listed, we'll be able to know just how many fans are out there!
September 4, 2007: The figures are in! Over the Labor Day weekend, the movie brought in over $31 million at the box office! A little ironic, isn't it, that it should be that number? It also had the biggest Labor Day weekend opening off all time, so go HALLOWEEN!
September 3, 2007: On opening day, Halloween brought in close to $11 million, and the overall viewer rating (according to imdb.com) is currently at 6.6 out of 10. We're slightly amused by that number. Bets were made that the movie would bring in $20 million over the Labor Day weekend, but based on opening day alone, it's sure to surpass that mark. Once we have the figures, we'll post them here!
August 31, 2007: With great joy, we're proud to announce that the film did not disappoint us! Kudos to you, Rob! Daeg Faerch also did a fabulous job in his role as the young Michael Myers, and he couldn't have been more perfect! The theater we went to, was packed, and the audience clapped in approval when the credits rolled!
August 30, 2007: Some of us will be going to the midnight showing tonight, so we hope that many of you can join us there, or go see it at a midnight showing in your area! If you you live in or around Savannah, Georgia, please check this out!
August 29, 2007: Only two more days! Check out 'Halloween': Where Are They Now? Find out what became of the stars from the original Halloween (1978).

Scout Taylor-Compton (Laurie Strode) August 21, 2007: Read an interview with Halloween's own Laurie Strode (Scout Taylor-Compton) right here! Plus, the Halloween Soundtrack is being released today, so be sure to get your copy! If you can't get out to a store anytime soon, there's always a number of ways to order it online. We've also added a poll on the left, but please don't vote until after you've actually seen the movie. (August 31st or later!)
August 19, 2007: Gallery finished
August 17, 2007: See the interviews with Rob Zombie on why he remade Halloween!

From acclaimed musician and filmmaker Rob Zombie ("The Devil's Rejects," "House of 1000 Corpses") comes an entirely new take on the highly successful and terrifying Halloween legacy that began in 1978. While revealing a new chapter in the established Michael Myers saga, the film will surprise both classic and modern horror fans with a departure from prior films in the Halloween franchise. Audiences should brace themselves for unprecedented fear as Zombie turns back time to uncover the making of a pathologically disturbed, even cursed child, named Michael Myers.

At the time when the site first went online, we hadn't even seen the movie yet. In fact, being die-hard fans of the original classic, we were skeptical about anyone taking on not only the story, but the legendary Michael Myers.

Rob Zombie promised it would be a legend reborn.

Watching the trailers and tv spots, keeping up on Rob's official Halloween myspace site, finding out about bits and pieces here and there, and reading the first draft of the script (though changes have been made since then) we had to admit that we were already becoming fans of the modern version. Like others, there we suddenly were, counting down the days, anxiously awaiting the release date, so that we could rush to the theater.

Being the fans that we are, it only made sense to us to build a fansite, and what better domain to get than halloweenfans.net! It couldn't be more perfect, and since we know we won't be the only fans at the site, but also draw in visitors that are sure to include a whole new generation of Halloween fans, as well as the ones who've been fans of the Halloween franchise all along, we hope you'll like everything you see! We'd also love to hear from you, so if you've got something you want to share or say, or if you've got something you want to put up on the site, be sure to go to the contact page, and we'll get back to you as quickly as we can.

Enjoy and thanks for visiting!
